Cookie Time!

It's that time of year again! Girl Scout cookies!!! They're $3.50 a box and I will have them this weekend. Our council is using a different baker this year, so some of the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

Caramel deLites-Delicate vanilla cookies drenched in caramel, sprinkled with toasted coconut and laced with cocoa stripes. (formerly Samoas)

Peanut Butter Patties-Crispy vanilla cookies layered with real peanut better and blanketed with a chocolate coating.

Shortbread-Traditional favorite with a buttery, light flavor. (formerly Trefoils)

Thin Mints-The chocolate wafers dipped in a rich chocolaty coating with a burst of pure peppermint.

Peanut Butter Sandwich-Deliciously smooth peanut butter sandwiched between crunchy oatmeal cookies.

Thanks-A-Lot-Heart-warming shortbread cookies dipped in rich fudge and topped with an embossed Thank You message in one of five languages. (Girls Scouts is so educational! You'll know how to say thank you five different ways!)

Lemonades-Savory slices of shortbread with a refreshing tangy lemon icing. (My new favorite! They're almost better than the thin mints!)

Reduced Fat Daisy Go Rounds-Crispy cinnamon flowers blooming with flavor in every bite!

Okay, I don't understand. What do you mean they're using a different baker? I'm confused about that.

This year we're using ABC Bakers, and last year it was some other bakery. The cookies are supposed to taste the same and all, they just have a different name. And of course some of them are different. For example, last year the lemon cookies were two lemon flavored shortbread cookies with lemon icing between the cookies. This year, the lemon cookies are round and look like a lemon and have lemon icing on the bottom. This year's lemon cookies are much better too. I've only tried the Lemonades and the Thin Mints, both are super good. Alexis really likes the Caramel deLites. Brandi has also tried those, so you can ask her if they're good or not.

I know I want 2 boxes of the Caramel deLites and 1 box of the Thanks-A-Lot-Heart ones. I have to talk to Cole about the other ones, though. Hopefully, we'll see you at life group tonight. We're going to the Wilson's...pretty sure you still go to that one.
