God blesses me everyday! Some more than others, today was one of those days that God went all out for me! Let me give you some background info first.
A week and a half ago I bought my sisters car from her. We just had to get the horn fixed so it would pass inspection and change the title over to my name. No problem right? Wrong!!! A few months ago when we were leaving Pizza House, Jennifer's airbags deployed for NO apparent reason. It was totally crazy. Our church paid to have the windshield and the upholstery fixed. (Another blessing) Well as it turns out, in order for the horn to work, you have to have the airbag reinstalled. The horn is located inside of the airbag or something confusing like that. I don't really understand car talk! Anyways, how much does an airbag cost you ask? $861.00 Yeah I know that's crazy. Well the man at the Ford house suggested putting in an external horn. I was like OK that sounds good. So he told me to call him the next day to see if he was able to find whatever parts were needed and to see if one of the guys from the back would do it on the side. When I called Tuesday he said he was able to get all the stuff but I'd have to pay for the labor at $75.00 an hour and it should take anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours. So I estimated about $300.00. Oh no! I called this afternoon after lunch to find out what was going on. He told me they had put on the horn, fixed a light on the license plate, put my new inspection sticker on all for the LOW price of $118.04! How great is that? God so took care of the entire situation! I'm just so blessed!

Child Support
I really should blog more often instead of saving it all for one day! But what fun would that be right?
On Tuesday I had to go to Sweetwater for a Child Support hearing with Alexis dad. Her dad (Jason), her step-mom (Heather), brother, and sister (not Anoe) all rode with me there. We get along very well. God has really blessed Alexis with such a great step-mom! Anyways, while we were there, we found out that they (the Attorney General) were filing a motion to revoke Jason's probation. He was put on probation two & a half years ago for child support. He's only paid fours times over the last two & a half years so they want to revoke his probation.
I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand I don't want him to go to jail. He has three other children at home and Heather is a stay-at-home-Mom. So if he went to jail, it would really hurt their family. But then on the other hand, I feel that he should be helping me with Alexis. She's almost 10 and he's only paid child support maybe about 15 times! And he's only court ordered to pay $114.00 a month.
Tuesday afternoon after we got back from Sweetwater, Heather called me and told me how worried she was about the whole thing. And I totally understand how she could be afraid of what is going to happen. I told her that the only thing I could think of was if he were to sign over his parental rights. I already have sole custody of Alexis, so not much would really change. I told Heather I had to pray about it though. And again I have mixed feelings. Part of me knows this could be the best for everyone. It's not going to help Alexis if her dad is in jail. And I'm certainly not going to get any child support that way. But then again, isn't she worth a little sacrifice and hard work? I think she is.
Please pray for our situation. Honestly I haven't prayed to much about it because I'm scared. And I don't want to be. God has a perfect plan for us!

TAKS test
As you may already know my beautiful Alexis has a lot of trouble reading! She had to take a "practice" TAKS test this past Tuesday. We were both really nervous and scared about it. Before she got out of the car Tuesday morning, I told her I had faith in her and I knew she would do great. She said (in a very sarcastic voice) "Yeah Mom I'll do great". Before I let her get out of the car we prayed that God would be with her and all of the other children taking the TAKS test. Well, that afternoon I picked her up from school and she was in a great mood! She said she did really well! It was easy and she knew the answers!!! I was so proud of her. She even did alittle dance for me!
She didn't take the "real" TAKS test. It was a modified version based on her abilities. But still she did awesome and I'm proud of her!

My beautiful new PINK phone!
Last Friday, I bought the most awesome phone ever! Every other time I have ever bought a new phone it was either the free one you get when signing a contract to turn your service on, or one exactly like my siters (we're on a plan together and I always thought we had to get the same phone). Well not this time, Jennifer got a Motorola Razor phone and I got the best phone ever! It's pink! How much better does it get really?
OK so not only is it pink and the phone I wanted, but it also takes pictures! I've already taken so many pictures of the girls! The only bad part is that I have to redownload all the ringers I had on my old phone! But that's OK! And I found the new ringer I'm going to put for when Anoe's dad calls! "Praise You In This Storm" by Casting Crowns! It's perfect for our situation! I don't know if you can tell, but I LOVE my new phone!

Praise The Lord
After reading Brandi's blog and seeing how funny it was I thought I would put something fun on here that Jennifer sent me.
There was a little old lady who was very spiritual who would step out on her porch every day, raise her arms to the sky and yell "Praise the Lord."
One day, an atheist bought the house next door to her, and he became very irritated with the spiritual little old lady. So after a month or so of her yelling, "Praise the Lord" from her porch, he went outside on his porch and yelled back, "There is no Lord."
Yet, the little old lady continued.
One cold, wintery day, when the little old lady couldn't get to the store, she went out on her porch, raised her hands up to the sky and said, "Help me Lord, I have no more money, it's cold, and I have no more food."
The next morning, she went outside, and there were three bags of food on the porch, enough to last her a week. "Praise the Lord," she yelled. The Atheist stepped out from the bushes and said, "There is no Lord, ha ha ha, I bought those groceries!"
(hold on...the ending is pretty good!).
The little old lady raised her arms to the sky and said, "Praise the Lord, you sent me groceries and you made the Devil pay for them!"
I love this! OK so we've all been thinking about all the stuff the Devil has stolen and will have to pay back to us, this is just one example of the Devil having to pay someone back! I can't wait to see what God makes the Devil do to pay each of back!!!

Birthday Blessings
Saturday was my birthday, and I was so dreading it! Then my great wonderful sister made me meet her at Denny's for breakfast. I kept trying to blow her off by telling her it would be easier to go during lunch when the kids are at school, but oh no Jennifer would not let up! I'm so glad she didn't!!! She got together with some ladies from our church and they gave me a surprise birthday breakfast! When we first walked into Denny's my sister met me up front and walked me to the back where everyone was. One table of the girls were covering their faces with the menues, so I started thinking, oh great we're sitting by some wierdos! That's just great! But oh NO! It was my awesome friends Ashley, Brandi, Pam, Cherry, and Brenda! Then at another table was Erica, Racheal, and Becky! I felt so loved and blessed. I always read on other people's blogs about them going out with "the girls" but I've never done anything like that. So that made this birthday breakfast that much more special to me! So, to all the wonderful beautiful people that came THANK YOU!!! You made me feel very special and loved!
For lunch I met my Mom, Step-Mom, brother, Aunt (my favorite aunt from Colorado), her boyfriend, my sister and all the kids at Spaghetti Warehouse. It was a lot of fun too!
I think I had the best birthday in the history of birthdays! Yay me!!
